Summit of Early and Preschool Education “Science Knowledge and Technology” where Scientists, Children Development Specialists, international Experts and Renowned people from the public sector, responsible for child policies, will gather from all over the globe.

This time, the Conference will take place October 2 – 6, 2007 as part of the Universal Forum of Cultures 2007. The program of the Conference will include 2 full days of workshops on October 2 and 3, and 3 days of conferences and panels on October 4, 5 and 6.

The Forum is an initiative of the 29th General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). UNESCO seeks to promote a space for open and interactive dialogue between citizens of the world and organizations about the big problems that affect the world today and at the same time cherish the cultural value of the different nations as legacy of mankind.

The Forum contributes to the objectives of development resulted from the United Nations Millennium Declaration that will be evaluated on 2015. The objectives are: to eradicate poverty and hunger, have universal primary schooling, equality of genders and women’s autonomy, decrease the child mortality, fight the VIH and other diseases, guarantee the sustainable development, cultural diversity and the knowledge.

The first Universal Forum of Cultures was held in Barcelona, Spain in 2004. The theme of the forum was culture, education, science and communication. As a balance of the Barcelona Forum, many scientists, thinkers and personalities gathered there and shared views and projects for the construction of a pacific, sustainable and diverse world.

The Universal Forum of Cultures Monterrey 2007 is the second edition of this event and will take place in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico on September 20 to December 8, 2007. The axis of this event are peace, environmental sustainability, cultural diversity and knowledge.

During 80 days of exchange of ideas and celebration sharing cultures, 12 subjects will be discussed:

• Peace and Spirituality, Cities and Towns, Education and Knowledge, Environment and Natural Resources, Governability and Participation, Identity and Diversity, Science and Technology, Human Rights and Justice, Communication, Health and Quality of Life and Cultural Policies.

The 1st. World Conference 7th.
